Global South Unites: SSCC and IEPF Formalize Memorándum

During the First Forum of Solidarity of NGOs from the Global South, held in Baku, Azerbaijan, a significant memorandum of understanding was signed between the South South Cooperation Council (SSCC) and the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF). This landmark agreement reflects a shared commitment to deepening cooperation, promoting peace, and empowering civil society across the Global South.

The memorandum was signed by Viktor Sebek on behalf of SSCC and Ramil Azizov representing IEPF. The official delivery and reception of the document were entrusted to Youth Ambassador Juan Pablo Merchán Arango, symbolizing SSCC's dedication to youth leadership in international diplomacy and cooperation.
The memorandum outlines five strategic areas of collaboration:

  • Interregional Cooperation – Building stronger ties and exchange between NGOs from Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
  • Youth Empowerment – Promoting the active inclusion of young leaders in cooperative and policy-making processes.
  • Peacebuilding and Cultural Dialogue – Supporting initiatives that foster peace, cultural understanding, and grassroots solidarity.
  • Capacity Building – Sharing knowledge, resources, and best practices to strengthen civil society organizations.
  • Joint Global Advocacy – Uniting voices from the Global South to influence global decision-making platforms.

This agreement marks a new chapter in South-South collaboration, with SSCC reaffirming its mission to promote inclusive development, solidarity, and the leadership of the next generation in global affairs.
